TVS BMW G310R Design & Styling
With the low front and high tail section, the BMW G 310 R looks like a typical stunt bike. Other key features that make it a stunt riding special are – a lockable throttle grip, intentionally oversized rear wheel brake for better deceleration, additional brake lever placed on the left-side of the handlebars, axle pegs on the front axle, and “stunt tail” among others. The TVS BMW G310R looks identical to the BMW Concept Stunt G310, which was unveiled at the Salao Duas Rodas, Brazil in October 2015. The BMW Concept Stunt G 310 was built with the help from Chris Pfeiffer, who has been 4X World and European stunt riding champion.
TVS BMW G310R Engine & Transmission
Powering the BMW G310R is an all-new 313cc backward-tilted, four-stroke, single-cylinder water-cooled engine that is mated to a six-speed transmission. This powertrain is capable to generate 34bhp of power at 9,500rpm and 28Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. The company claims that the bike’s power-unit is inclined towards the rear and the cylinder head is rotated by 180 degrees. This helped the company to place the engine optimally while keeping a shorter wheelbase. This 313cc motor is also claimed to return an impressive fuel efficiency of 36.05kmpl. The TVS BMW G 310 R can hit a top speed of 145kmph.
TVS BMW G310R Suspension & Braking System
For shock absorption, the BMW G310R beemer gets an inverted telescopic fork upfront and monoshock rear suspension system. The bike features an ergonomic design, and offers comfortable riding position. It carries a kerb weight of 158.5kgs. The TVS BMW G 310 R is equipped with alloy wheels that are wrapped with 110/70 – R17 and 150/60 – R17 front and rear Metzeler tyres respectively. Braking power for the street fighter comes from 300mm single disc brakes, and 240mm rear disc brake with 2-piston floating caliper. The bike also gets dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) as standard feature.
Just so you know, the TVS-BMW JV is expected to develop a sportbike, a roadster and an adventure tourer using the TVS-BMW K03 platform. The company confirms that the new range of bikes shares the same platform and engine. Since these bikes feature a small capacity engine, these will be less powerful than the regular BMW motorcycles.
